About moss decorations

Is stabilized moss a living product?

The moss I use in my artworks is a 100% natural plant.
It has been impregnated, that’s why it keeps it’s natural look, structure and vibrant colour.
In a biological sense, it is not living moss and it doesn’t grow.
It does not require watering, pruning or sunlight.
It keeps its natural beauty and stays soft and flexible for years.

How to take care of moss decorations?

Moss requires normal indoor air humidity (around 40–60%).
It naturally absorbs moisture from the air.
If the air in your home is too dry, using a humidifier can help.
It will balance the humidity and keep the moss soft and flexible again.
However, avoid placing moss where it can be exposed to direct water.

Does the moss react to too high temperature?

Moss should be located away from direct heat sources (at least 2 meters from radiators, fireplaces)
and should not be exposed to direct sunshine.

Is moss safe for allergy sufferers?

Moss is preserved with glycerin, so it is safe for people with allergies.
In fact, it can even be helpful, as it naturally filters the air.
Glycerin also keeps the moss soft and prevents it from drying out.
Moss works as a natural indicator of humidity.

Does moss get dusty?

No. Preserved moss is antistatic, so it doesn’t attract dust, insects, or microorganisms.

Can moss be installed in the bathroom?

Yes. Preserved moss doesn’t need sunlight, so it can be used even in rooms without windows.
In a bathroom, it’s not only decorative.
It absorbs excess moisture from the air and may help prevent mold and fungi.

What are the simple guidelines for moss decorations?

Moss artworks are ideal for those who love greenery, but don’t want the responsibility of taking care of plants.
It brings the peaceful energy of nature into your home — effortlessly.
No maintenance is needed.

However, to keep it beautiful for years, follow these simple guidelines:

Keep humidity between 40% - 60%.
Do not water – no misting or spraying.
Avoid direct sunlight – it can dry and fade the moss.
Place far from heat and air flow sources.
